BISHOP, Ga. -- No. 4 seed South Carolina upset No. 3 Texas A&M in SEC Equestrian Championship consolation finals, 11-8 Saturday morning at the Georgia Equestrian Complex.
South Carolina swept the Hunt Seat discipline with a 5-0 score on the Flat and a 4-0 win Over Fences. The win is the Gamecocks' first conference win this season.
Texas A&M took four of five points in Horsemanship, as well as won 4-1 in Reining, but it wasn't enough to take back a win.
