With the final round of All-Star games in the books, the college football recruiting rankings are starting to be finalized.
And the changes have been good for a pair of future South Carolina players.
Lineman Jovaughn Gwyn added a fourth star in the 247 Composite ratings, the standard for a player’s overall rating. Commit Bryce Thompson was raised up to a four-star by Rivals, which pushed his overall ranking to four stars.
Gwyn is a 6-foot-2, 291-pound lineman from Harding University High School in Charlotte. He’s expected to play guard at the college level, though defense wasn’t out of the picture, and was a late signing day pickup for Will Muschamp’s staff.
