South Carolina is ranked for the first time in the 2017 season.
The Gamecocks (8-3) didn’t make the Associated Press or coaches polls released Sunday, but they were No. 24 in the College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night.
South Carolina hasn’t been ranked in the AP poll since the fifth week of the 2014 season.
The Gamecocks take on No. 3 Clemson (10-1) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks are 5-1 at home this year.
