South Carolina star forward A’ja Wilson snagged another honor after her stellar senior season, this time picking up the Associated Press’ National Player of the Year award.

It’s Wilson’s third national honor this season, with two player of the year nods coming from espnW and USA Today. Wilson is the first Gamecock to earn such a distinction from multiple organizations.

A four-time All-SEC first team selection and four-time All-American, Wilson enjoyed an incredible senior campaign. She ranked seventh nationally in scoring (22.6 points per game), rebounding (11.8), and fifth in blocks (3.2). She is South Carolina’s all-time leading scorer and second in program history with single-season double-doubles.
