COLUMBIA — After saying goodbye to a pair of players from the Baltic states, South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Frank Martin has welcomed another to the fold.
The Gamecocks on Friday announced that Maik-Kalev Kotsar, a 6-9 forward from Tallinn, Estonia, had signed a National Letter of Intent with USC. Like Mindaugas Kacinas and Laimonas Chatkevicius, two Lithuanians who completed their careers this past season, Kotsar arrives via a high school in Wichita, Kansas.
Kotsar is rated a three-star prospect out of Wichita’s Sunrise Christian School, and ranked the No. 75 power forward nationally by 24/7 Sports.
