Former South Carolina standout Michael Carrera has landed a playing spot back in the United States.
Carrera has joined the Oklahoma City Blue, the G-League team of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He will wear No. 9 for the Blue.
Carrera could team with another South Carolina standout, P.J. Dozier, on the Blue roster. Dozier was called up to the Oklahoma City Thunder and made his NBA debut on Thursday.
Carrera has played in Russia, his home country of Venezuela and most recently with Carinas Taipans in Australia. The 6-foot-5 forward led Carinas in scoring at 14.
