Things aren’t exactly looking up right now for the reeling Florida Gators. Next is a trip to South Carolina, and a loss to Will Muschamp’s team would extinguish any bowl hopes.
Ouch.
With four straight losses — to LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia and Missouri — Florida officially is in a slump, no matter the quarterback or the coach. Another loss would duplicate the Gators’ five-game conference losing streak from 2013, which also ended in a loss to South Carolina and another former Florida coach (Steve Spurrier).
On the opposite sideline, Muschamp and the Gamecocks can seal second place in the SEC East with a victory Saturday.
