Dawn Staley and Jim Sterk are in the same building this week, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be chatting.
“Will I speak? I’m not going to go out of my way to speak to him, but as far as what happened, it’s over in my book,” South Carolina’s women’s basketball coach said.
Staley and Sterk recently settled a defamation lawsuit Staley filed against Sterk. The suite stemmed from comments Missouri’s athletic director made after his Tigers played Staley’s team in Colonial Life Arena. When Sterk did not retract the comments, Staley sued him in February and last week the two settled for $50,000, and Sterk issued an apology.
