Dallas Cowboys scouts eye Gamecock stars in Atlanta

The NFL spotlight followed South Carolina into Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. According to ESPN's Jordan Reid, the Dallas Cowboys were among the 23 NFL teams with scouts on hand for the Gamecocks' 24-11 win over Virginia Tech in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Cowboys have been busy this opening weekend, sending staff to Athens before making the short trip to Atlanta for South Carolina's primetime matchup. Their interest wasn't casual either as this Gamecock roster features several names already creeping onto early draft boards.

The headliner, of course, is QB1 LaNorris Sellers. Already drawing Heisman conversation, Sellers' blend of size, mobility, and arm strength has NFL evaluators watching closely, even if he won't be declaring until 2026.
