Clemson coach Monte Lee expects former Gamecocks coach Chad Holbrook to have a successful coaching career moving forward after Holbrook resigned as the head coach at South Carolina on June 6.
Lee told reporters Friday in Clemson that Holbrook possesses the attributes you need to be a strong college baseball coach.
“Chad is a friend of mine. I’ve always gotten along great with Chad Holbrook, and I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Lee said. “I’m sure he’ll land on his feet. He’s an excellent recruiter and excellent coach with a great track record.”
Lee said he believes injuries had a lot to do with South Carolina’s disappointing season.
