A’ja Wilson named Associated Press WNBA Player of the Year

Beloved South Carolina legend and current Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has another trophy to add to her collection, with this particular honor coming from the Associated Press as their WNBA Player of the Year.

The former No. 1 overall pick, Wilson closed the regular season averaging 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and two blocks, leading the league in blocks and trailing only Dallas’ Arike Ogunbowale in points. She helped guide the Aces to the top seed in the upcoming playoffs, and as a reminder, they went 8-26 the season before she was drafted, so...she’s worked some magic.
