#6 South Carolina vs. The Citadel, Game Recap: Gamecocks Blow Out Bulldogs 16-4

After putting up 10 runs against Texas A&M on Sunday, South Carolina's bats stayed hot against the Citadel, putting up double digit runs again.

The Gamecocks got out to an early lead, going up 3-0 in the first inning. Gene Cone walked to start things off, Alex Destino also walked with one out, and Dom Thompson-Williams got hit to load the bases. Then John Jones came through with a two-run single, which was followed by a Jonah Bride RBI base hit.

South Carolina tacked on three more runs in the third inning. Destino and DTW singled to start the inning, then Bride smacked a two-run double to make it 5-0.
