COLUMBIA — South Carolina’s Frank Martin received a four-year contract extension Friday that will likely make him among the four highest-paid men’s basketball coaches in the SEC.
The USC Board of Trustees approved a four-year escalating extension through 2021-22 that raises Martin’s total compensation from $2.1 million this season, to $2.45 million in the first year of the extension, to $2.7 million in the final season of the deal. His buyout clause also increases from $500,000 to $4.8 million.
Martin’s total compensation includes a base salary of $350,000, supplemental compensation of $200,000, and outside compensation ranging from $1.
