When the #1 recruit in the class of 2023 decommitted from North Carolina, reclassified to the class of 2022, and enrolled at the University of South Carolina, almost everyone believed GG Jackson would go on to be a lottery pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
That’s not how things played out for the Columbia native, however, as in the days leading up to the 2023 NBA Draft, most projections started moving Jackson down the draft order.
On Thursday night, not only was Jackson not taken in the lottery (first 14 picks of the 1st round), he was not taken in the 1st round at all.
