South Carolina mustered just enough offense to secure another midweek victory
For a one-run game, this contests was really, really boring, not to mention slow-moving. The Gamecocks came away with the win, though, so it's hard to complain too much.
South Carolina jumped out to an early lead, getting on the board in the first inning. TJ Hopkins led off with a walk, then John Jones and Alex Destino hit back-to-back one-out homers to make it 3-0 in favor of the home team.
Furman answered in the next inning, scoring two runs of their own.
