CHARLOTTE, N.C. | University of South Alabama coach Kane Wommack, Tulane University head coach Willie Fritz, University of New Mexico head coach Danny Gonzales, University at Buffalo head coach Maurice Linguist, Oregon State University head coach Jonathan Smith, and McKendree University head coach Mike Babcock have been elected to the Board of Trustees of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). Those head coaches were elected by members attending the 2023 AFCA?Convention today. Fritz will represent the American Athletic Conference, Gonzales will represent the Mountain West Conference, Linguist will represent the Mid-American Conference, Smith will represent the Pac-12 Conference, Wommack will represent the Sun Belt Conference and Babcock will be a Division II representative.
