WOMEN’S TENNIS PICKS UP FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team won their fifth consecutive match in a 6-1 victory against Lipscomb Wednesday at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.

DOUBLES
-On court No. 3, an injury forced Lipscomb's Thabile Tshatedi and Katernya Kandyba to retire against freshmen Nikola Kohoutova (Kralupy Nad Vltavou) and Maxine Palmen (Sittard, Netherlands).
-Junior Alina Zolotareva (Barnaul, Russia) and freshman Yu Fujioka (Funabashi, Japan) clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 victory over Madeleine Brooks and Katernya Popova at No. 2.

SINGLES
-Due to the injury in doubles, Lipscomb forfeited a point in singles on court 6.
