NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama women's golf freshman Siti Shaari and senior Madison Connell earned first- and second-team all-Sun Belt Conference honors, respectively, as announced by the league's office Thursday. Shaari was also voted the league's Freshman of the Year after leading the team to a third-place finish in the season rankings.

Shaari finished fourth in the Sun Belt individual rankings in her first season as a Jaguar with a team-low 74.04 stroke average. She earned six top-10 and two top-20 finishes in 10 events and played 12 rounds at or below par. The freshman shot three straight rounds below par and scored a 209 (-7) in her best tournament of the season, the Bama Beach Bash, to pick up the first individual victory of her career.
