MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama's women's basketball team (7-13, 2-7) fell to Georgia Southern (8-12, 4-5) 53-45 on Saturday evening at the Mitchell Center. The Jaguars rallied back from being down 11 points to make it a one-possession game on three occasions, but an 8-0 run by the Eagles that started halfway through the fourth quarter secured the victory for them.
"They got out on a 7-0 run to start the game, and we fought back to kind of make it a game," said Fowler. "We gave up 16 points in the first two quarters, so they were on a pace to get their average which was right around 64 points.
