WOMEN’S BASKETBALL’S DROPS A HEARTBREAKER AT TROY, FALLING 75-71

TROY, Ala. – The University of South Alabama's women's basketball team (7-14, 2-8) had a four-point lead slip away with a little over two minutes remaining in the game and fell to Troy (15-6, 8-2) at Trojan Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Jaguars rallied back from a 17-point early in the second quarter and led for almost eight minutes of the fourth quarter.

"We missed opportunities late in the game," said South Alabama head coach Terry Fowler. "There were missed free throws that could have given us a bigger cushion and then two layup attempts on offensive rebounds as well.
