MOBILE, Ala. – A goal from junior Tilly Wilkes not enough as the University of South Alabama soccer team fell to Coastal Carolina, 2-1, Friday night at The Cage.

With what seemed like a chess match with possession between head coaches Richard Moodie and Paul Hogan, early indication was both teams wanted to control possession when possible and attack from the back.

The Jaguars struck first in the match in the fourth minute with freshman Izzy Ford earning an assist early in the match to Wilkes on the goal.

Coastal Carolina got on the board after Loranna Austin hit what appeared to be a curling cross that kept bending and found the inside of the goal's right side netting.
