West Alabama stands taller than 13 Power Five programs in NFL playoffs

Only one West Alabama player has gone on to the Super Bowl, and he's been twice, won twice and turned in one of the greatest plays in the game's history. And he could be back again this year.

Malcolm Butler went from an undrafted rookie from West Alabama to saving the New England Patriots' 28-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX with an interception at the goal line in the final minute.

Back as a starter in Super Bowl LI last year, Butler helped the Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime.
