NEW ORLEANS, La. | South Alabama running back La'Damian Webb and defensive back Yam Banks were named First Team All-Sun Belt, released by the conference office on Thursday morning. The pair lead five other selections plus four honorable mention selections on this year's team.
Webb, a two-time Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week honoree, finished the regular season with 1,015 rushing yards, becoming the second player in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season despite missing two games. He rushed for over 100 yards three different times on the season, including 124 yards at the Rose Bowl against UCLA, while also rushing for 152 yards and three touchdowns on the road against Arkansas State and another 247 yards and four touchdowns (both school records) on the road at Georgia Southern.
