UTA SECURES SERIES SWEEP OVER JAG BASEBALL

ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington defeated the University of South Alabama baseball team 11-5 Sunday in Sun Belt Conference action at Clay Gould Ballpark.

UTA (19-10, 7-2 Sun Belt) secured the three-game sweep with the victory, which extended the Jaguars' losing skid to five games. USA (12-14, 3-6 Sun Belt) will return to action Tue., April 2, when it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., for a 6 p.m. contest against Southern Miss.

GAME FACTS
- South Alabama scored the game's first run in the top of the third. Ethan Wilson singled to right field to lead off the inning, and advanced to second on the play when UTA right fielder David Renning mishandled the ball while trying to retrieve it.
