You probably missed this fun fact, but college football in the state of Alabama made history this week. For the first time, three Football Bowl Subdivision teams from the state are ranked at the same time.
Alabama stayed at No. 1 and Auburn dropped to No. 18 in the AP poll, but Troy made it happen. After coming from behind to defeat Appalachian State 28-24 to improve to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the Sun Belt, the Trojans checked in at No. 25.
They are the first FBS team in this state other than Alabama and Auburn - and the first team in Sun Belt Conference history - to be ranked by the Associated Press, according to collegepollarchive.
