TOLBERT, LATE STAND LIFT JAGUAR FOOTBALL TO VICTORY IN JONESBORO

JONESBORO, Ark. – Jalen Tolbert caught 10 passes for 252 yards and three scores on Saturday, and the University of South Alabama defense made a late goal-line stand to help the Jaguars to a 38-31 Sun Belt Conference football victory over Arkansas State at Centennial Bank Stadium.

All three of Tolbert's touchdowns came in the second half as South (4-6, 3-4 Sun Belt) recovered from a 10-point deficit. Desmond Trotter completed 16-of-22 passes for 242 yards and two scores, and when he departed due to injury Tanner McGee came on in relief and recorded 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 6-of-8 passing.
