TOLBERT IS SBC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AS EIGHT FROM JAG FOOTBALL PICK UP HONORS

NEW ORLEANS – Jalen Tolbert was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year, highlighting eight members of the University of South Alabama program who were recognized with the release of the league's annual postseason honors on Thursday.

Tolbert is the first Jaguar ever to claim the award, joining Jeremy Reaves — who was voted the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 — as the only players in South's history to earn individual honors. Both Tolbert and Darrell Luter Jr. were named first-team all-conference as well, with Keith Gallmon Jr. and Lincoln Sefcik earning second- and third-team recognition, respectively, while Jake Bentley, Jack Brooks, Wy'Kevious Thomas and Jalen Wayne were honorable mention all-SBC selections.
