When South Alabama running backs coach Tim Bowens looks to the opposing sideline on Saturday night, he'll see one brother, and another man who might as well be.
The Jaguars travel on Saturday to Ole Miss, where Freddie Roach is the Rebels' defensive line coach and Jason Jones is the defensive backs coach. Roach is Bowens' younger brother, while Jones was Bowens' roommate when both were playing at Alabama in the late 1990s.
"It's going to be a great time," Bowens said Sunday. "I haven't really talked to either one of them much. Out of respect for each other, and knowing you're going to compete with each other, you don't even want to cross those lines.
