THREE POINT SHOT PROPELS WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TO WIN OVER COASTAL CAROLINA

MOBILE, Ala. — The University of South Alabama women's basketball team defeated the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 67-50 on Thursday night at the Mitchell Center to earn its 20th win of the season.

The Jaguars got off to a fast start against Coastal, starting the game on a 10-2 run. The Jaguars maintained control of the game for the half and went into the break with a four-point lead.

South Alabama connected on 5-of-8 three pointers in the third, but Coastal held their own and didn't allow the Jags to run away with the game. After Shaforia Kines and Alexis Sykes made back-to-back threes to start off the third, the Chanticleers went on an 8-0 run to tie things up at 35.
