THREE JAGS MAKE CUT AT ALABAMA STATE AMATEUR, LECROY FINISHES SECOND

OPELIKA, Ala. – Led by rising sophomore Jacob LeCroy, a trio of University of South Alabama men's golfers made the cut to advance to the final two rounds of the 104th Alabama Men's State Amateur Championship contested at the Saugahatchee Country Club.

LeCroy broke the previous event record after finishing with a four-day 19-under-par 269 score, with Jordan Plunkett tying for 12th with a total of 284 and Dawson Atkinson ending up in a tie for 43rd place as well.

After shooting 3 under through the first two rounds of the tournament on Wednesday and Thursday to make the cut, LeCroy followed up with a 9-under-par 63 in the third round before closing play with a 65 Saturday.
