THREE FORMER JAGS COMPETING IN MLB

MOBILE, Ala. – Three former University of South Alabama baseball student-athletes have competed in Major League Baseball this season, with two currently playing at the MLB level.

David Freese is batting .261 with five doubles, five home runs, 23 RBIs and 16 runs scored in 61 games played with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is hitting .271 with two home runs, 13 RBIs and six runs scored in his last 30 games. Freese is batting .286 in 30 road games this season, and has hit all five of his home runs on the road.
