NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama sophomore Alexandria Stiteler has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Stiteler wins the award for the fifth time in her career and the first in 2017. She is the third Jaguar to be named player of the week this season, after seniors Laura Matuskova (Bratislava, Slovakia) and Monica Mitta (Fairhope, Ala.).
The Bradenton, Fla. native went 2-0 in both singles and doubles to lead the Jaguars to Sun Belt victories over Georgia Southern and Appalachian State.
