NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama sophomore Alexandria Stiteler has been voted the Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week the league announced Wednesday.
Stiteler, who picks up the award for the second time this season and sixth in her career, went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and added another victory at No. 2 doubles.
The Bradenton, Fla. native won both of her singles matches in straight sets – losing nine games total – to help the Jaguars finish the regular season with an 11-match win streak and increase her spring record to 14-5.
