NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama senior Justice Stanford has been voted the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.
A native of The Colony, Texas, Stanford earns the award for the first time in her career, and she's the third different Jaguar to be named player of the week this year, joining Briana Morris (twice) and Tilly Wilkes.
Stanford recorded two shutouts last week – her fourth and fifth of the season – in a pair of 3-0 victories against ULM and Georgia State.
