MOBILE, Ala. – As the only safety in the country to receive a mark above 80 in both coverage and run defense, the University of South Alabama's Keith Gallmon was named to the PFF All-America Team announced on Monday.
The honor came on the same day that the 5-foot-9, 205-pound junior from Mobile, Ala., was selected third-team all-Sun Belt Conference.
The lone player in the Sun Belt to rank in the top 10 in both tackles and passes defensed per game, Gallmon set career highs this fall with 84 total stops and 10 passes broken up while adding an interception and a forced fumble.
