Williamson senior Jamall Hickbottom committed to South Alabama in March and - despite the Jaguars' coaching change - has never wavered.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker is expected to sign with South Alabama when the new early signing period begins Wednesday.
"South is the place for me," Hickbottom told AL.com on Monday. "On my official visit, it just felt like home."
Hickbottom anchored a stellar Williamson defense this year that allowed just 113 points in 11 games. He finished with 138 tackles, including 10 for a loss, and five sacks. He also had three interceptions.
