SOUTH FOOTBALL SET TO START FIRST SPRING SEASON UNDER WOMMACK

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama football team will open up the spring season with a workout Saturday, the first of 15 leading into the program's annual spring game next month.

The practice will get underway at 10 a.m. (CDT) at the James A. and Frances H. Yance Football Practice Facility, with the Jaguars also working out at the facility at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Both sessions will be conducted in just helmets and shorts.

"As you approach spring ball, the excitement level for me is in having a vision in my head of what the culture at South Alabama is going to look like," said first-year South head coach Kane Wommack.
