South Alabama running back Xavier Johnson needed just 107 yards in tonight's game against Louisiana Tech to become the school's leading career rusher.
The bad news is that Johnson came up against a Louisiana Tech defense that held South Alabama to just 98 yards rushing for the entire team.
Johnson had 89 yards, including a long 47-yard rush; he had no touchdowns on the night.
Johnson will now attempt to break the South Alabama record next week when the Jaguars face off against Troy; the Trojans upset LSU 24-21 Saturday night on the road in Baton Rouge.
