On the day he announced he'd fired his offensive coordinator, South Alabama head football coach Joey Jones wasn't interested in discussing his own job status.
The 54-year-old Jones is in the final year of his contract at USA, which is 1-3 this season after losing at home to Idaho on Saturday. The only coach in Jaguars history, Jones is 49-45 in nine seasons.
On Monday, Jones was asked directly if he was "coaching for his job" after such a disappointing start to the season.
"I don't know, do you?," Jones said. "I go to win every game, that's all I'm worried about.
