Joey Jones declined to discuss his future as South Alabama head football coach following a 19-14 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette, which dropped the Jaguars to 3-6 this season.
Jones -- the only coach in USA history -- is in the final season of his contract, which expires at the end of March. USA must win its final three games this season to earn a bowl berth for the second straight year.
Asked if the loss to the Ragin' Cajuns -- which came on the heels of a 21-13 defeat at Georgia State -- put his future with the Jaguars in jeopardy, Jones would not comment.
