South Alabama's Jeremy Reaves named candidate for Senior CLASS Award

South Alabama safety Jeremy Reaves is one of 30 FBS candidates for the 2017 Senior CLASS Award, which recognizes excellence in "community, classroom, character and competition."

Reaves, a senior from Pensacola, leads the Jaguars with 37 tackles and six passes defended this season. He is a third-year starter and a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection.

Reaves, who ranks fifth in school history with 234 tackles and is USA's all-time leader with 20 pass breakups and eight forced fumbles, is on track to graduate in sports and recreation management. He has also spoken to high school students, visited patients at children's hosptials and volunteers at Special Olympics events.
