As South Alabama completes its first full week of spring football practice, all three of the Jaguars' junior-college transfers appear poised to make an instant impact.
Defensive tackle Jordon Beaton, linebacker Roy Yancey and cornerback Travis Reed have all been working at least part-time with the first defensive unit in practice. All three signed with the Jaguars in December and enrolled in school in January.
"They've been working us real hard," Reed said. "We've got a good feeling coming into the season. It's been great so far."
Reed, a Meridian, Miss., native, comes to South Alabama from Jones County (Miss.
