MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. | South Alabama finished third on the women's side and fourth on the men's side at the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships that concluded Saturday evening.
On the women's side, South Alabama finished with 97 total points finishing behind Texas State (107) and eventual champion Arkansas State (144). On the men's side, the Jags finished fourth with 110.5 points finishing just behind Louisiana (134). They also finished behind Texas State (144) and eventual champion Arkansas State (168.5).
Four student-athletes reached the top of the medal stand with a gold medal on Saturday, while three others and a relay team each reached the medal stand on the final day of competition.
