More than a half-dozen football recruits are expected to take official visits to South Alabama this weekend, just days before the NCAA's early signing period begins Dec. 20.
Tentatively set to visit with new Jaguars coach Steve Campbell and his staff beginning Friday are two players who are already committed to USA: Jones County (Miss.) Junior College cornerback Travis Reed and Williamson linebacker Jamall Hickbottom. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Reed committed to the Jaguars earlier this week, while Hickbottom (6-2, 216) has been committed since May.
Two of Reed's junior-college teammates are also expected to visit South Alabama: wide receiver Kendall Parham (5-10, 178) and defensive tackle Travis Beaton (6-1, 288).
