South Alabama begins spring football practice on Friday, hoping to build on momentum from a second bowl berth in three years last season.
The Jaguars return seven full- or part-time offensive starters from 2016 this spring, though at least four of those -- including quarterback Dallas Davis -- will miss the spring due to injury. Running back Xavier Johnson and offensive tackles Ryan Alexander and Noah Fisher are the top returning starters who are healthy for the spring.
Finding playmakers at wide receiver and building depth in the backfield are the Jaguars' top offensive priorities between now and the April 8 Red-Blue spring game.
