LOUISVILLE, Ky. | While the entirety of the 2023 South Alabama softball schedule is still being constructed, at least a portion of it was unveiled Wednesday as the Jaguars were selected to compete in the 20th Annual NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic, which will be held on Feb. 10-12, 2023.
The three-day showcase will feature South Alabama along with 15 other teams from nine conferences, and will be held at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla.
The Jaguars last competed at the national event during the opening weekend of the 2020 season.
South Alabama, who finished second in the Sun Belt Conference last spring will open up tournament play with a pair of games on Friday, February 10 as it will take on Louisville at 10 a.
