SOUTH ALABAMA SOFTBALL HAS SEVEN NAMED TO NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR LIST

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of South Alabama softball program continued to excel not only on the field, but in the classroom as seven student-athletes from last season's roster were named All-America Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), during the 2016-17 season as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

The individual award is given to student-athletes that acquire a 3.5 grade-point average or higher during said academic year. Winners from this past season include Kristina Foster, Abby Krzywiecki, Morgan Lutticken, Amanda Minahan, Bailey Murphy, Aly Smith and Taylor Stevens.

The selection marked the third-straight for Foster and the second for Minahan, while it was the first for Krzywiecki, Lutticken, Murphy, Smith and Stevens.
