South Alabama softball earns split on day one of Diamond 9 Citrus II Classic

The University of South Alabama softball team recorded a split Friday on day one of its competition at the Diamond 9 Citrus II Classic held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. No. 12/13 James Madison recorded a 4-0 no-hit win in the Jags' first game of the day, but bounced back with a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Boston College in the nightcap

"I thought we played two quality teams today," South Alabama head coach Becky Clark said. "Both teams were incredibly competitive and both had good pitching, good lineup and were good defensive teams. I think today was all about competing, who was going to execute, and who was going to step up and get the big hit and make the big play.
