South Alabama forced six turnovers against Arkansas State on Saturday night, and the Jaguars needed every one of them.
Bull Barge forced a fumble at the goal line with 5:05 to play and Jeremy Reaves intercepted a pass with 1:30 left as USA stunned the first-place Red Wolves 24-19 on Senior Night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The victory kept the Jaguars (4-6, 3-3 Sun Belt) alive for a bowl berth with two games to play.
"I challenged the kids today, 'if you go out every play and try to whip their tails every play, then we're going to have a chance,'" South Alabama coach Joey Jones said.
