South Alabama quarterback Cole Garvin questionable for Alabama A&M with sprained ankle

South Alabama quarterback Cole Garvin was wearing a walking boot at Sunday night's practice, two days after spraining his right ankle early in a 44-7 loss to Oklahoma State.

Garvin was injured on the Jaguars' third play Friday night, when he was "rolled up" after scrambling away from pressure. USA head coach Joey Jones said Sunday that Garvin's status for Saturday's home game with Alabama A&M is not yet known.

"We'll evaluate him the next two days," Jones said. "If he's not ready to practice by Wednesday, we're not going to go with him. We'll know by Wednesday whether he's going to play or not.
